Make use of gestures effectively to make the whole spectators feel like you are talking to them. During your speech move around your room and use your gestures effectively in order to add extra appeal to your speech.
Allow your hands flow naturally throughout the whole speech, and comprise some practiced gestures to keep the spectators involved.
Gesture with one hand at a time on most gesturing moments. One hand motion to a part of the viewers, part of the room or presentation crutch like blackboard, much easier than two hands.
Modify your gestures and use during your speech. Select gestures that go together with your action words. If you utter "plow," perform like you are plowing to converse the meaning. Apply an upward hand action for "higher," and frame additional gestures to look good with the speech.
During speech avoid keeping both hands in your pockets. Keep at least one hand free at all times.
Never use the same gesture again and again tensely. Perform your speech standing before a mirror to ensure you are not fidgeting without deliberately recognizing it.
Don’t hold your printed notes in your hands. This brings down on the amount hand gesturing you can apply throughout the speech.
Stand with both feet on the ground .Try to keep your legs balanced so your body will not lean to one side. Stand without stopping and give a professional look.
Move frontward to your spectators when you wish to give important points. Go backwards if you want them to give a chance to contemplate. Move left and right side of your stage to change the topic of your speech.
Don’t be frightened to use gesture in your presentation. Put into practice at each opportunity. Utilize to improve but not to control your speech. Practice it standing in front of the mirror or in front of your friend and get positive feed back from them.
